Deirdre Conneely (2006) started working as a full-time curatorial assistant at the American Federation of Arts in September 2006. Deirdre finished her thesis, "Losing the Collection: Museums and Claim of Ownership," in August of this year.

Lourenco Eegreja (2002) organized the second annual juried show for emerging artists in Portugal Anteciparte, www.anteciparte.com. It attracted around 700 visitors for the opening. In the summer 2006, Lourenco curated an exhibition in his home, inviting 10 artists to install work that dealt with light and glass. (See www.projectobandeiras.com.) One of the artists, Isabel Barbas, was commissioned to create a work for the facade of the National Electric Company following the exhibition.

Bettina Riccio Henry (1994) completed and defended her dissertation "Lights, Camera, Art: John Baldessari, Ed Ruscha and Hollywood Film" at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Bettina also holds a Certificate in Film Studies. She is working as a researcher for the Brooklyn Museum's Sackler Center for Feminist Art's inaugural exhibition of Judy Chicago's "The Dinner Party" scheduled to open this spring. Argyri Katsaridou (2003) is working as an art historian at the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki, Greece which was awarded the Prize of the Council of Europe in 2005. Argyri is a Ph.D candidate in the art history department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her thesis is tentatively titled "Art and Photography in Greece, 1970-2000." She has published articles on contemporary Greek art and is currently organizing an international conference "Photography and Political Bodies". The conference scheduled to take place in Greece in October 2007 is a collaborative project between the Paris VIII University of Saint Denis and Thessaloniki's Museum of Photography.

Magali Kivatinetz (2004) is a Ph.D. candidate in art education at the University of Barcelona. Her dissertation title is "Are Artist Educators the Current Intermediaries Between Art and Education?: A Study on the Artistic Educational Practices in Cultural Institutions." Magali received a fellowship from the Center for the Study of Change in Culture and Education (CECACE), which is part of the Scientific Park of the University of Barcelona. She also coordinates a small company specializing in museum education services, which she started together with two of her friends from the university. The company is called motivART and their website is www.motifart.com. (in Spanish). Magali published two papers in two different education journals in Spain: "Visual thinking strategies: innovative educational method or placebo effect for our museums?" and "Critical gaze on museum educators training."

Lin Ma (aka Sophia), (BA 2006) graduated in May 2006. Sophia is currently an intern at the registrar's office at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is also applying to graduate schools and developing an application for the Brandeis Traveling Fellowship to go to China.

Maria Gadegaard Nielsen (2001) is a curator at Charlottenborg Kunsthalle, a large exhibition space for contemporary art located in Copenhagen. Maria is involved in redefining the museum's exhibition profile to include more international and contemporary art, reorganizing the program of the institution and sharpening its profile.

Eellen Rrauch (1999) is currently a retail sales instructor at the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center in Tucson, Arizona, teaching low-income 16 to 24-years- olds customer service, sales and employment skills.

Rebekka Rrudin (2004) continues in her job as manager of visitor services at the Neue Galerie, New York. She had a busy summer with the museum's recent Gustaf Klimt acquisition and exhibition and is now doing curatorial research for an upcoming Klimt exhibition. Her job includes keeping track of and interpreting attendance numbers, researching content for tours, managing a small docent team and giving tours.

Sydney van Nort (2005) currently works in the CCNY Cohen Library Archive where she mounts exhibitions, some of which are revived online. One of these, "The City College Missal" summarizes the research from her MA thesis written under Prof. Senie's direction. Sydney has also organized a pictorial history of The City College for Arcadia Publishing scheduled for release in February 2007. She selected 200 images from the Archives collection, divided them into seven themes and wrote captions for all the images.
